DC releases Mime Show CD on electoral awareness

Mangalore, Apr 6, 2013: DC Harsha Gupta released a Mime show CD on electoral awareness, as a part of Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) programme on April 6, Saturday.

The mime show was directed by Mime Ramdas, chief of Spandana TV and director of Abhinava Mangalore. The mime show of 9 minutes duration has been enacted by Suman, Vineeth and Rahul.

 

 

 

Speaking on the occasion, DC said that the mime CD will create awareness among the voters to exercise their franchise and ensure maximum turnout during the elections.

 Later, the  DC distributed copies of the CD to various public service departments to screen it  and create awareness among the general public in public places.

ZP CEO Dr K N Vijayaprakash said that under the leadership of DC various programmes  are being undertaken  to sensitize voters.  He said that so far the district has been registering around 74% to 75% voter turnout and added the process of creating awareness will go on till election, he said.

Further, district administration in association with Magnum Intergrafiks Pvt Ltd will  organize more  publicity campaign on election, he added.

MCC Commissioner Harish Kumar, ASI Gopalkrishna Bhat, KSRTC Regional Controller Mahesh and others were present.
