Create awareness on govt schemes for women and child welfare: DC tells officials

Mangaluru, Jul 28, 2021: Deputy Commissioner Dr K V Rajendra has directed all departments concerned to create awareness regarding the various schemes of the government meant for the welfare of women and children.

 

 

 

He was presiding over a meeting of the District Committee on Implementation of Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act  at the DC office on July 27, Tuesday .

He said  officials concerned should immediately act when  they get information of violation of rights of women and children. Similar measures must be taken to prevent child marriages whenever officials receive  information. There is also a need to create awareness on the ill-effects of such child marriages.

Papa Bhovi, Deputy Director of the Department  of Women and Child Development, Women’s Protection Officer Manjula and others were present.
