Cops maintain strict vigil on Karnataka- Kerala border

Mangaluru, July 30, 2022: Police have tightened vigil on the Karnataka-Kerala border in the wake of the recent untoward incidents including three murders within a span of a few days in the district.

Police are checking all vehicles heading towards Kerala from Mangaluru and vice versa at the Talapady border. Over 20 police personnel including personnel from Traffic Police and KSRP are at the spot.

Even Udupi district is on high alert. As many as 11 checkposts have been set up and vehicles are checked in the presence of senior police officials. Strict vigil is maintained even at Hejamady, Sastan and Shiroor toll gates. Additional police personnel have been deployed in sensitive areas.
