Cops file charge sheet against Belthangady MLA Harish Poonja

Belthangady, May 29, 2024: Police have filed charge sheet against Belthangady MLA Harish Poonja who is facing charges of threatening the cops. Police who have undertaken quick investigation into the two cases against the MLA have filed charge sheet on May 28 at the Court in Bengaluru. Puttur Inspector Satish G J is the chief of the Special Investigation Team formed by the SP to probe the case.

 

It may be recalled here that the MLA had obstructed cops from doing their duty and had also threatened them during a protest held  to condemn the arrest of two BJP Yuva Morcha leaders Shashiraj Shetty and Pramod Ujire under the Illegal Quarrying and Explosives Act.
