Cooker bomb blast case: Target was Kadri shrine, reveals NIA

Mangaluru, Sep 16, 2023: The arrest of the Mangaluru cooker bomb blast case accused Arafat Ali of Shivamogga by the NIA has resulted in a shocking revelation that the terror suspects had planned to target Kadri Manjunatha Temple. This has been confirmed by a press communique released by NIA on Thursday.

 

Arafat Ali who used to stay abroad was reportedly the mastermind behind the Shivamogga trial blast, cooker bomb blast case of Mangaluru as well as inflammatory wall writings in Mangaluru.

It has been gathered that it was at the instigation of Arafat Ali that Shariq had planned the cooker bomb blast case that took place in an autorickshaw in Mangaluru on November 19 last year. Then the target of Shariq was not clear.  The NIA team has taken Shariq to Bengaluru after he recovered from the burn injuries he suffered during the blast.
