Contents in booklet distributed by Yogish Bhat are false, alleges Mariamma Thomas

Mangalore, May 3, 2013: Former corporator Mariamma Thomas who recently quit the KJP and expressed her support to Mangalore South Congress candidate JR Lobo, has  said that some of the contents in the booklet ‘Vijaya Yatre’ distributed by BJP candidate Yogish Bhat to the voters of his constituency, were misleading.

Speaking to reporters here, Mariamma  said  the booklet claims that the  works under the  Rajeev Gandhi Development Board at Shaktinagar have been complete, while actually the works are not yet over in the area which came under the ward which she earlier represented.

Mariamma said almost 98 per cent of the contents of the booklet are false and added Yogish Bhat in the book has also claimed that  the advanced pediatric treatment centre at Wenlock, ropeway at Sultan Battery, proposed new building of Ladygoschen Hospital and second vented dam at Thumbay are his achievement, while actually none of the works are complete.

She said she would also move the Lokayukta in this regard.

Stany D’Souza, Suresh Shaktinagar, and Umesh Shaktinagar, were present at the press conference.
