Construction debris to be dumped at Pumpwell - MCC

Mangalore, Jan 22, 2011: The Mangalore City Corporation (MCC) has urged the public to dump all construction debris generated from the demolition of old structures and the construction of new structures at the proposed site of the new bus stand at Pumpwell. 

 

 

 

Reliable sources have revealed that the land acquired for the proposed bus stand is several feet below road level, owing to which it can serve as an excellent site for dumping of construction debris, which will bring it up to the road level. 

The MCC has warned that dumping construction debris beside the road is not only against the law, but also creates public nuisance. The MCC executive engineer has issued a notification urging the public to report such violation of law through phone numbers +91 824 155313 or 2220344. 

Stern action will be taken against those found violating the law, warns the MCC.
