Congress working for women’s empowerment : Sorake

 Udupi,Mar 2, 2014 :   A District Women’s Congress Convention organised in Udupi on March 1, Saturday was inaugurated by State Urban Development Minister and DK District in-charge Minister Vinaykumar Sorake.

Speaking on the occasion, Sorake  was highly critical of the BJP for projecting Gujarat CM Narendra Modi as the Prime Ministerial candidate. He also accused BJP  of  trying to mislead the youth in the  name of caste and religion.

He said Congress was in strong favour of women’s empowerment and elaborated on the various schemes launched by the party for women.

Sorake further claimed that the party has fulfilled 95 out of the 168 assurances given in its election manifesto.
