Congress leaders flay former minister Palemar

Mangalore, Oct 13, 2012: Congress leaders have alleged that former district-in-charge minister Krishna J. Palemar’s recent program highlighting his party’s achievements was just a political drama to gain votes.

Former MLA Vijayaprakash Shetty told reporters at the office of the district Congress today that it was wrong of Palemar to take credit for the development projects launched by the Mangalore City Corporation (MCC) and the Zilla Panchayat (ZP). The public has not forgotten Palemar’s involved in the porngate scandal, the iron ore scam, and the sand mining scam, he added. He also criticized D. V. Sadananda Gowda, former chief minister, and MP Nalin Kumar Kateel for praising Mr. Palemar.

 

Congress leader P. V. Mohan said that the CBI must investigate Palemar’s involvement in the Belekeri Port scam.

Speaking on the occasion, former mayor Shashidhar Hegde said that Palemar is responsible for the delay in the completion of the Thumbay vented dam project.
