Congress leader Padmaraj accuses BJP of resorting to politics over Ram Mandir

Mangaluru, Jan 03, 2024: The consecration of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya is a matter of pride. But even Lord Ram would not accept the politics resorted to by some BJP representatives in the name of the programme to create rift between people, said KPCC General Secretary Padmaraj.

 

 

Speaking to reporters at the District Congress Office on Wednesday he said what was the need to resort to politics on the issue of Ayodhya which has been resolved in the court.  He questioned why the BJP is resorting to unnecessary politics over the arrest of two people in Hubballi who had a warrant against them.

On the issue of a BJP elected representative urging the state government to declare a holiday on the Ram Mandir consecration day, Padmaraj said the programme is being organised at the central level. Let the Union Government declare holiday if they wish so, he said.
