Beltangady, May 24, 2024: A complaint has been filed by Municipal Councillor Mohammed Riaz at the Puttur town police station against Beltangady MLA Harish Poonja for making derogatory remarks about Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

According to Riaz’s complaint, during the BJP’s victory celebrations at Gunavati Amma Auditorium in Beltangady on May 22, Harish Poonja allegedly accused Siddaramaiah of being responsible for the alleged murder of 24 Hindu workers. Riaz provided a video recording of the incident as evidence to support his claims.
