New Delhi, Oct 1, 2026: Aviation turbine fuel (ATF) prices were increased by ₹16 per litre from Thursday, while the price of commercial LPG was raised by around ₹62.50 per 19-kg cylinder, in line with changes in international benchmark prices.
According to state-owned oil marketing companies, ATF for domestic airlines has been increased to ₹137 per litre from ₹121 per litre.
The latest hike follows an increase of ₹6.28 per litre, or 5.46%, in September and a ₹5-per-litre rise in August. ATF accounts for up to 40% of airline operating costs, making fuel prices a key factor in airfares and operating expenses.
Commercial LPG prices were also increased by ₹62.59 per 19-kg cylinder. The rates had risen by ₹9.50 in September after being cut by ₹192 in August and ₹183.50 in July.
Commercial LPG prices had surged to a record ₹3,113.50 per 19-kg cylinder in June amid disruptions to global energy supplies and elevated international prices. They had risen by ₹1,373 between February and June before declining in July and August.
The latest revisions are based on international benchmark prices and the rupee-dollar exchange rate. ATF and LPG prices are revised on the first day of every month and may vary across states due to local taxes such as VAT.
Prices of domestic LPG, used by households, have been kept unchanged at ₹942 for a 14.2-kg cylinder. Domestic cooking gas prices had increased by ₹89 per cylinder between March and June following supply disruptions and a rise in international energy prices amid the West Asia crisis.
Petrol and diesel prices, which were increased by around ₹7.50 per litre each in May, also remained unchanged.
