Classes from 1 to 5 to function with 50% student capacity from Oct 25: DC Rajendra

Mangaluru, Oct 19, 2021: Deputy Commissioner Dr K V Rajendra has issued an order permitting  physical classes for students from first to fifth standards, consequent upon the decision of the state government.



The DC’s order has stated that it was mandatory for the school heads to obtain the consent letter of the parents of the children, to attend physical classes.

Children must be screened for Covid-19 symptoms and  classes must be held with 50% capacity. All classrooms must be sanitized everyday. Only those teachers and staff who are fully vaccinated are allowed to do their duties while those above 50 years must  wear an additional face shield, the DC’s order stated.

Swimming pools permitted: The DC in his order has also stated that swimming pools are also allowed to function subject to the condition that every batch must have only 50% of swimmers of the total capacity of the pool. The swimmers must be screened for fever and breathing issues  and those who are fully vaccinated should be permitted, the DC’s order stated.
