City auto drivers threaten strike against LPG price hike

Mangalore, Jan 3, 2014: Autorickshaw Drivers’ Union of Mangalore which has strongly condemned the hike in Auto LPG prices, has decided to go on a 24 hour strike from January 5 to January 6.

The Union led by its President Ali Hassan, Secretary Vishnumurthi and others have submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner  urging to solve the problems faced by them due to the hike.

They also demanded that the minimum autorickshaw fare be increased to Rs 30 for the first 1.5 kms and Rs 20 for every additional km travelled.
