Mangaluru, April 10, 2026: The Nitte Institute of Communication (NICO) will host the seventh edition of “Chocolate Street 2026,” billed as Mangaluru’s largest chocolate festival, at Fiza by Nexus on April 11 and 12.
Conceived, organised and executed by third-year BA students, the two-day event aims to provide a platform for home bakers, chocolatiers and small entrepreneurs to showcase and sell their creations. The festival is designed to help participants engage directly with customers, enhance visibility and expand their businesses.

The event will celebrate creativity and entrepreneurship, while highlighting the artistry of home bakers. Visitors can also look forward to a range of activities, including open mic sessions for budding artists. Adding to the festive atmosphere will be “Benny,” the official mascot of the chocolate festival.
The festival is being organised under the guidance of Prof. Dr. M.S. Moodithaya, Vice-Chancellor of Nitte (Deemed to be University), and Dr. Harsha Halahalli, Registrar of the university.
The event is powered by Campco, a leading cooperative institution supporting growers and farmers, whose collaboration has played a key role in organising the fest.
The festival will be inaugurated on April 11 at 10:30 am by Mayoor Shetty, founder of Solmelu Chocolate, who will attend as the chief guest.
