Chikkamagaluru: Tourist bus overturns after driver loses control; 25 injured

Chikkamagaluru, July 19, 2025: A private bus carrying tourists from Bengaluru to Kuduremukha overturned near Devanagool village in Mudigere taluk of Chikkamagaluru district, leaving 25 people injured.

Over 40 young men and women, working in an MNC in Bengaluru, had come for a weekend trek to Netravati Peak. The bus overturned at a curve after the driver lost control.

The injured have been admitted to hospitals in Mudigere and Chikkamagaluru. The incident falls under the jurisdiction of Mudigere Police Station.
