Chikkaballapura youth meets watery grave in Kodi beach

Kundapur, April 4, 2014 : A  young man hailing from Chikkaballapura was reported drowned at  Halavalli in Kodi Beach in Kundapur on April 3, Thursday.

The deceased is Munishama Reddy (27). It is learnt, he was the son of Narayana Swamy of Seegehalli Kothanur in Chikkaballapura.

The mishap took place when Munishama had been to the beach along with four of his friends namely Gopinath, Santosh, Venkatesh and Bharath. Of them only Santosh  is from Kundapur and hails from Kumbhashi.

It is said three of them excluding Santosh and Gopinath  were swimming when Munishama was caught in strong currents.His body is not yet traced. He was working as a tower technician of a company in Bangalore.

Sources said the four who had come to Udupi on some work a few days ago, had decided to make merry at the beach on Thursday  upon completion of their work.

Kundapur police have registered a case.
