Cheating case : Kamalakshi Co-op Society Chairman gets conditional bail

Udupi, Jan 16, 2023: The arrested chairman of Kamalakshi Multi-Purpose Co-operative Society of Udupi B V Laxminarayana  has been granted conditional bail by the District Court. Laxminarayana is facing charges of cheating several hundreds of customers of the Society of nearly Rs 100 crores.

 

So far seven depositors of the society have lodged complaints regarding the cheating. Apart from Laxminarayana,  the directors of the Society, B V Balakrishbna, Bhasker Upadhya, Ravi Upadhya, Uday Upadhya, Radhika and Sujatha have been named the accused.
