Charge sheet filed against home stay attack accused

Mangalore, Sep 21, 2012: A charge sheet has been filed in the Junior Magistrate First Class (JMFC) II Court against those accused of assaulting young boys and girls who were celebrating a birthday party at Morning Mist Home Stay on July 28, 2012.

T. R. Jagannath, assistant police commissioner, and the rural police team investigated this case for one and a half months, and the charge sheet was filed on the basis of their findings.

The chief accused in this case have all been arrested. The charge sheet has been filed as per the investigative reports, which the court had directed the officials concerned to submit within a fortnight.

The city police have arrested 24 men, including Subash Padil, in connection with the home stay attack. They are all under judicial custody. The first addition district and sessions court had rejected the bail plea submitted by 20 of them.
