Changes in train services to fecilitate track maintenance works

Mangaluru, Aug 30, 2025: To facilitate track maintenance works in the Thiruvananthapuram division on various days, the following changes were made to the train services
SHORT TERMINATION OF THE TRAIN SERVICE
1. Train No 16325 Nilambur Road – Kottayam Express journey commencing on 10th & 12th September 2025 from Nilambur Road will be short-terminated at Ettumanur. This train service will be partially cancelled between Ettumanur and Kottayam.
DIVERSION OF THE TRAIN SERVICES
1. Train No. 16629 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Mangaluru Central Malabar Express, journey commencing on 10th & 12th September 2025, from Thiruvananthapuram Central will be diverted to run via Alappuzha by skipping stoppages at Mavelikara, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Changanassery, Kottayam, Piravam Road & Tripunittura. Additional stoppages will be provided at Haripad, Ambalappuzha, Alappuzha, Cherthala & Ernakulam Junction.
2. Train No. 16343 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Madurai Junction Amrita Express, journey commencing on 10th & 12th September 2025, from Thiruvananthapuram Central will be diverted to run via Alappuzha by skipping stoppages at Mavelikara, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Changanassery & Kottayam. Additional stoppages will be provided at Haripad, Ambalappuzha, Alappuzha, Cherthala & Ernakulam Junction.
3. Train No. 22503 Kanyakumari – Dibrugarh Vivek Superfast Express, journey commencing on 10th & 12th September 2025, from Kanyakumari will be diverted to run via Alappuzha by skipping stoppages at Chengannur & Kottayam. Additional stoppages will be provided at Alappuzha & Ernakulam Junction.
4. Train No. 16349 Thiruvananthapuram North – Nilambur Road Rajyarani Express, journey commencing on 10th & 12th September 2025, from Thiruvananthapuram North will be diverted to run via Alappuzha by skipping stoppages at Mavelikara, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Changanassery & Kottayam. Additional stoppages will be provided at Haripad, Ambalappuzha, Alappuzha, Cherthala & Ernakulam Junction.
5. Train No. 16347 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Mangaluru Central Express, journey commencing on 10th & 12th September 2025, from Thiruvananthapuram Central will be diverted to run via Alappuzha by skipping stoppages at Mavelikara, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Changanassery, Kottayam & Piravam Road. Additional stoppages will be provided at Haripad, Ambalappuzha, Alappuzha, Cherthala & Ernakulam Junction.
6. Train No. 22653 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Hazrat Nizamuddin Junction Weekly Superfast Express, journey commencing on 12th September 2025, from Thiruvananthapuram Central will be diverted to run via Alappuzha by skipping stoppages at Changanassery & Kottayam. Additional stoppages will be provided at Alappuzha & Ernakulam Junction.
7. Train No. 18568 Kollam Junction – Visakhapatnam Weekly Express, journey commencing on 12th September 2025, from Kollam Junction will be diverted to run via Alappuzha by skipping stoppages at Mavelikara, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Changanassery & Kottayam. Additional stoppages will be provided at Haripad, Ambalappuzha, Alappuzha, Cherthala & Ernakulam Junction.
REGULATION OF THE TRAIN SERVICES
1. Train No. 16348 Mangaluru Central – Thiruvananthapuram Central Express, journey commencing on 10th & 12th September 2025, 2025 from Mangaluru Central will be regulated by 02 hours en-route.
2. Train No. 16344 Madurai Junction – Thiruvananthapuram Central Amrita Express, journey commencing on 10th & 12th September 2025, from Madurai Junction will be regulated by 01 hour 10 minutes en-route.
Onam Holidays: Special Trains Between Mangaluru Central and SMVT Bengaluru
To clear the extra rush during the Onam holidays, special trains will be operated between SMVB Bengaluru and Mangaluru Central as given below:
1. Train No. 06003 Mangaluru Central – SMVT Bengaluru Express Special will leave Mangaluru Central at 23.00 hrs on 31st August 2025 (Sunday) and reach SMVT Bengaluru at 14.30 hrs the next day (Monday) (01 Service).
2. Train No. 06004 SMVT Bengaluru - Mangaluru Central Express Special will leave SMVT Bengaluru at 15.50 hrs on 01st September 2025 (Monday) and reach Mangaluru Central at 07.15 hrs the next day (Tuesday) (01 Service).
Coach Composition: 01- AC Two Tier Coach, 03- AC Three Tier Coaches, 14-General Second Class Coaches & 02- Second Class cum Brake Van Coach (Divyangjan Friendly).
