Cattle smuggling vehicle meets with accident near Bantwal

Bantwal, Feb 12, 2018: A container lorry  in which cattle were being smuggled has overturned near the Anchikatte curve  in Vagga of Bantwal Rural Police Station limits on February 12, Monday morning.

 

The mishap took place at around 6 am when it came to light that there were 9 bullocks and 5  buffaloes in the vehicle. One bullock was  dead  in the mishap. The driver and others who were in the vehicle  have fled the place.

SP Ravikanthegowda has said that a special squad has been formed to nab the cattle smugglers.
