Carstreet gets Swachch Treatment

Mangaluru Feb 27, 2016: Red Cross volunteers and Sri Kalki Manava Seva Samithi jointly organized Swaccha Mangaluru Abhinayan at  Carstreet area on February 27, Saturday.

Red Cross Volunteers of Government First Grade College Car Street participated in this Abhiyaan. Over 100 volunteers of the college stepped in to clean the surroundings.

Asst Professor of Government First Grade College, Mahesh said that, this initiative is inspired by Ramakrishna Ashrama and it aims at creating awareness among the people to keep the city clean. This is a weekly programme wherein every Saturday we come up with a  positive intent to clean the surroundings. The motive behind this initiative is “Swaccha Carstreet Swaccha Mangaluru”. "This initiative is just the beginning and  we  hope to take it all over Mangaluru," he added.

Prakash Shenoy of Sri Kalki Manava Seva Samithi said that  this Abhiyaan of cleanliness will bring in peace and satisfaction.
