Cars collide at Harekala-Adyar bridge; 3 injured

Mangaluru, May 27, 2024: Three persons were injured in a collision between two cars on the new Harekala-Adyar bridge on Monday.

 

An Alto car which was heading towards Adyar from Puttur collided with an Eco Sports car. A woman driving the Alto car and a co-passenger and  the driver of the other car sustained injuries in the mishap.

This was the first mishap on the Harekala-Adyar bridge which has not been officially inaugurated even a year after completion. The department concerned has not yet acquired the nearby lands which are facing inundation due to the dam. The matter is presently before the court.
