Captain Ganesh Karnik felicitated

Mangalore, Sept. 16, 2012: The Captain Ganesh Karnik Abhinandana Samithi felicitated Captain Ganesh Karnik at Town Hall on September 16, Sunday.

Dharmadarshi Harikrishna Punaroor, AJ Shetty, P. Raghunath Hegde, and Sharavu Raghavendra Shashtri inaugurated the felicitation ceremony. Twenty music troupes presented a cultural show, and Sayyed Asif Ali, the popular artist, drew a picture of Captain Ganesh Karnik on this occasion.

 

P. Jayaram Bhat, DGM of Karnataka Bank; Prof. M. B. Puranik; and M. Narendra, president of Indian Overseas Bank, felicitated Ganesh Karnik with fruits, flowers, memento, and shawl.

Speaking on the occasion, Ganesh Karnik acknowledged the support of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), adding that his wife supported him a lot too. He also encouraged the youth to join politics in large numbers and help develop the country.

Speaking of the important of education, Mr. Karnik said that education needs to be promoted in India as the country has great talents that need to be encouraged.

Tenka Tittu artists performed Narakasura Moksha Yakshagana on this occasion.
