Canara High School celebrates Teachers’ Day

Mangalore, Sep 11, 2012 : Canara High School, which is affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi, celebrated Teachers’ Day on September 5, 2012.

Retired teacher Mr. Ramesh Kedilaya, who is now the advisor for Canara High School, was felicitated on this occasion. Correspondent Mr. Kochikar Sudhakar Pai expressed his gratitude to all the teachers.

Principal Joy Rai then presented a PowerPoint on how to be effective teachers, which made the event very meaningful.

In the evening, the PTEC organized an event at T. V. Raman Pai Hall, where teachers showcased their talents through song, dance, and games. They dressed in traditional costumes of difference states.

A Guru Abhinandana program was held by PTA President Venkatesh Rao, PTA Vice President Mrs. Rukmini, and many others PTA members.

Mr. Ranganath Bhat, honorary secretary of CHSA; Mr. Kochikar Sudhakar Pai, honorary correspondent; Mr. Ramesh Kedilaya, school advisor; and Mrs. Joy Rai, principal, were also present.

A sumptuous dinner was served to mark the end of the event.
