
Mangalore, Aug 3, 2013 : The Campus Front of India has strongly condemned the state government decision to ban elections to students unions in colleges of the state and warned of a severe protest if the government failed to revoke its decision.

Speaking to reporters here on August 2, Friday, Iqbal Bellare,State President of the Campus Front, described the decision as against democratic principles and pointed out how several of the present political leaders were shaped right from their student days as student union leaders.
The decision of the government will come in the way of the development of campuses as well as students, he said. The Campus Front has already submitted memoranda to the Chief Minister and Education Minister, Iqbal informed.
Campus Front of India State Secretary Mohammad Tafseer, District General Secretary Mohammad Imran and others were present at the press meet.
