Cake exhibition inaugurated in city

Mangalore, Dec 20: Roy Castelino, the renowned Konkani activist and proprietor of Roy Constructions, inaugurated a mega cake exhibition held on the grounds of St. Agnes Special School on Dec 20, Monday. The exhibition will be around till Jan 2, 2011; so the public can view it anytime between 10:30 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. daily.

The cakes have been exquisitely baked in the shape of Swami Narayan Aksharadhama Temple and Roy Construction, and include a wide range of cakes such as Amar Akbar Anthony, wedding cakes, ice creams, chocolates, rich plum cakes, furniture sets, fruits, antique pieces, household items, and Christmas goodies. People can not only view, but also purchase cakes and kuswar.

Raknno Editor Fr. Francis Rodrigues said in his address that monuments belonging to various faiths and communities illustrate the communal harmony in Mangalore.

Raymond D’Cunha, the editor of Pingara, was the MC of the event. MLA U. T. Khader, Ivan D’Souza, Austin D’Souza Prabhu, Walter Nandalike of Daijiworld Pvt Ltd and Vincent D’Costa were also present.
