CM visits Mount Rosary Church in Kallianpur

Udupi, Mar 15, 2012 : D. V. Sadananda Gowda, the chief minister of Karnataka, who is in Udupi for canvassing, visited Mount Rosary Church in Kallianpur on March 15 Thursday.

Currently, Rs. 3 crore is being spent on the renovation of Mount Rosary Church. Stating that the election code of conduct prevents him from promising donations and grants during the election season, the CM said that he will do everything in his power to help the church. He also interacted with the children of Mount Rosary English Medium School in Kallianpur.

Fr. Philip Neri Aranha, the parish priest; Jerry Vincent Dias of Mandovi Builders; N. Yogish Bhat, the deputy speaker of the state assembly; Goa MLA Francis; Udupi MLA Raghupathi Bhat; Uday Kumar Shetty, the president of the Udupi district BJP; and BJP leaders Gladys D’ Almeida and Jerald Fernandes, were also present.
