CID team arrests 4 with heroin worth Rs 2 crore

Mangalore, Jul 8: A CID team, headed by Inspector C Simon, nabbed four people from Kasargod and confiscated 2kgs of heroin worth Rs 2 crore.

The arrested are Hassainar (39), Rafiq (31), Gangadhar (32), and Manoj ( 42). Reliable sources in the police department said that the four were caught red-handed trying to sell the heroin from a Maruthi A-Star car registered in Kerala on July 8, Thursday.


They had parked their car near the Palah English Medium School, located near road leading to Natekal. The CID team, acting on a tip off, arrested the four and seized the heroin, the car KL 14 H 4915, and 4 mobile phones. 


The Ullal police have registered a case. Head Constable Vasanth and Krishna and Police Constables Harish Padavinangady and Ashok K, along with driver Naveen Kumpala participated in this operation.
