C. C. Patil launches Bal Bharat Srujanotsav 2012 website

Mangalore, Jan 7, 2012: C. C. Patil, the minister for women and child development, said at a meeting held to review preparations for the Bal Bharat Srujanotsav 2012 that he is quite satisfied with the way preparations are made for this event, which is scheduled to be held in Mangalore from Jan 22 – 25. The minister also inaugurated the event website www.balbharathsrujanotsav.com on this occasion.

Bal Bharat Srujanotsav 2012 is being jointly organized by the DK district administration and the Bal Bhavan District Level Committee and is scheduled to be held at Pilikula Nisarga Dhama in Moodushedde in Vamanjoor. A large number of students from all over India are expected to participate.

The minister presented a cheque for Rs. 70 lakh to Dr. K. N. Vijayaprakash, the CEO of ZP. He also promised to speak to CM D. V. Sadananda Gowda to obtain Rs. 25 lakhs for the event since the chairperson of Bal Bhavan Society in Bangalore complained that the funds allotted for the event were not sufficient. 

Mr. Patil will visit again on Jan 18 for another review meeting with concerned officials and the residents of Pilikula.
