Udupi, March 13, 2012: Interacting with reporters at a press conference in Hotel Kidiyoor on March 13 Tuesday, Deve Gowda, the JD (S) chief, predicted that the by poll results depend on the choice of voters as the competition between well-known political parties is quite stiff. He admitted that the JD (S) became stronger only after the entry of U. R. Sabhapathi, the popular politician.

Speaking about JD (S) achievements, he said that reservation is JD (S)’s contribution to society, owing to which even a woman from the fishing community can become the Taluk Panchayat president and the minority community could develop a political voice. He said that Muslims in Karnataka were given reservation when the BJP – JD (S) coalition was in power.
