Byndoor : Trio arrested for smuggling gold in train

Byndoor, Dec 18, 2019:  Byndoor Police have arrested three persons for unauthorisedly transporting gold jewellery and gold biscuits in a train.

 

Those arrested are Ismail (30), Sayyed Umar (25) and Rahif (35) of Bhatkal. Police have seized 631 grams gold from them. It is said the trio who had arrived by a flight from Dubai   had later travelled to Calicut  and were heading towards Bhatkal in a train when they were caught.

Byndoor Police who acted on a tip off arrested one of them at Byndoor Police station, while the other two were apprehended at Bhatkal on the basis of the revelations made by the former.

The accused have been handed over to the custody of Revenue Intelligence sleuths.
