Byndoor: Man booked for dragging cruelly pet dog tied to bike

Byndoor, May 26, 2025: A suo motu case has been registered at the Baindur police station against a man who was seen dragging a pet dog tied to his bike with a chain.

The incident took place on the service road of National Highway 66, from Ravuthankatte to Nakatthe Bridge, near the Baindur–Kundapura one-way route in Yadtare village. A resident of Padubidri village was reportedly seen dragging his pet dog tied with a chain to his bike. The video of this act went viral on social media on May 25.

Police took note of the video and upon investigation identified the man as Subrahmanya from Padubidri village in Baindur. The video clearly showed the dog being dragged in a cruel manner, resulting in visible injuries.

Based on this evidence, Baindur police have registered a suo motu case against the accused, and further investigation is underway.
