Byndoor: House burglary accused arrested, Rs 6 lakh cash recovered

Byndoor, May 8, 2026: Police arrested a man accused of stealing Rs 6 lakh from a rented house in Yadtare village of Byndoor taluk.

According to police, the theft took place between 3 pm and 10 pm on April 23 at the rented house of Rawal Singh, a native of Rajasthan, located behind the SBI Bank in Yadtare village. The accused allegedly broke open the door lock, entered the house in the occupants’ absence, and stole Rs 6 lakh cash kept inside a Godrej cupboard.

The arrested accused has been identified as Mahendra Sain (23), a native of Sethrao in Sirigraath taluk of Jodhpur district, Rajasthan, who is currently residing at the house of Stephen in Bankeshwar, Byndoor.

A special police team formed for the investigation traced and arrested the accused on Thursday. Police also recovered the stolen Rs 6 lakh cash from him.

A case has been registered at the Byndoor police station.
