Burglary at advocate’s home in Vittal while family was abroad

Bantwal, Feb 2, 2026: A burglary was reported at the residence of an advocate near Okketturu Royal Villa in Vittal, Bantwal taluk.

The incident occurred at the house of advocate Safiya Naufal. The family had reportedly been abroad for about a month, and the house was locked and unoccupied at the time.

Unidentified miscreants are suspected to have broken open the front door and entered the house. They allegedly ransacked cupboards inside the residence but, finding no valuables, reportedly fled with some documents belonging to the advocate.

The burglary came to light after local residents noticed the door of the house open and informed the family. Further details are awaited.
