Bundles of Aadhaar cards found on Netravati Riverbank in Farangipete; delegation demands probe

Farangipete, Mar 5, 2026: Large numbers of Aadhaar cards were found on the banks of the Netravati River, prompting a demand for a thorough investigation. A delegation led by Pudu Gram Panchayat President Ramlan met the Additional Deputy Commissioner and submitted a memorandum regarding the matter.

Local residents noticed piles of Aadhaar cards floating along the riverbank and informed Pudu Gram Panchayat President Ramlan. Following this, Ramlan visited the spot and alerted the concerned authorities.

Additionally, a delegation consisting of former Zilla Panchayat member Farooq, Panchayat members Iqbal Sujeer and Hisham Farangipete, and Badruddin met the Additional Deputy Commissioner and the Tahsildar. They urged officials to conduct a detailed investigation and take appropriate legal action against those responsible.
