Budding cricketer from Kundapur dies in Bangalore road mishap

Kundapur, October 27, 2013: A tragic road mishap reported from Bangalore in the wee hours of October 27, Sunday claimed the life of a budding cricketer hailing from Kharvikeri in Kundapur.

The deceased is  Umesh Kharvi (26), son of Kogga Kharvi. Sources said he died after his bike  hit against a road divider  at around 2 am.

Kharvi had represented Karnataka in  South Zone under 17, India Under -17 in 2003-2004 and Karnataka Under 22 in 2007-2008.

He was a right hand  batsman and  a medium pace bowler.
