Bridge collapse case: Cops register case against contractor

Vittal, April 17, 2024: Vittal Police have registered a case against the contractor Rajendra Prasad Shetty in connection with the collapse of an under construction bridge at Barenja Kurudakatte link road of Punacha village recently injuring seven workers. Of the seven injured, one person has been discharged while the other six are undergoing treatment at a hospital in Mangaluru.

 

Following the mishap, the bridge construction works have been stalled and the debris is being cleared from the place.

The incident took place on the evening of April 15 when the slab laying works were underway.
