Bridegroom fails to arrive, auto driver marries bride instead

Mangalore, Oct 29, 2012 : An auto rickshaw driver married the bride when the bridegroom did not turn up at the wedding venue.
The bride, who hails from a poor family, was about to have an arranged marriage with a man from Bondel. The muhurat was set for 11:50 a.m., but at the last minute, the groom failed to turn up.

An auto rickshaw driver, who is acquainted with the family, then said that he will marry the girl.
The wedding, which was scheduled to be held on the afternoon of Oct 28, was held that evening.
Nobody knows why the bridegroom failed to turn up.
