Brahmavar: Serial mishap claims one life, 2 others critical

Brahmavar, Dec 5, 2021: A serial mishap involving a car, a fish transportation vehicle and a  bike has claimed the life of one person while injuring two others near Saibrakatte here on December 5, Sunday.

The fish vehicle driver, Suresh Marakala (40) of Madhuvan Achlady lost his life in the mishap.  Another person in the vehicle, Raju Marakala (60) and bike rider Subrahmanya Kulal (42) of Shiriyara have sustained serious injuries. They have been admitted to the Manipal Hospital.

Suresh and Raju used to procure fish from Malpe port had then used to sell it in their mini pick-up vehicle.  As usual they were on way to Saibrakatte  in the fish vehicle on Sunday when the speeding  Swift car rammed into a bike and then the fish vehicle. The impact of the collision was such that both Suresh and Raju were caught inside the entangled vehicle. Locals struggled to get them out and finally rushed them to the hospital.  But Suresh died  before reaching hospital.

Brahmavar police have registered a case.
