Brahmavar: Doctor booked for allegedly misbehaving with woman at Sasthana clinic

Brahmavar, May 16, 2025: A case has been registered at the Kota police station against a doctor accused of misbehaving with a young woman who had visited his clinic for treatment.

The 20-year-old woman, a native of Sasthana currently living in Mumbai, had returned to her hometown due to health concerns. She visited the Upadhyaya Clinic in Sasthana for a consultation, during which Dr. Raghavendra Upadhyaya, the clinic’s proprietor, allegedly acted inappropriately.

Upon returning home, the woman informed her family about the incident. In response, local residents gathered that evening, waited for the doctor, and confronted him. The confrontation escalated, and the doctor was reportedly assaulted by the crowd.

Kota police arrived at the scene, took the doctor into custody, and filed an FIR. He is scheduled to be produced in court on Friday. An investigation is currently underway.
