Brahmavar : College student ends life

Brahmavar, March 05, 2020:   A 19 year old student of a private college at Brahmavar has ended his life by hanging  himself from a tree near his house at Maikorme in Mandarthi on March 4, Wednesday.

 

The deceased is Charan Shetty. He was a first year B.Com student.  It has been alleged that he chose the extreme step   following harassment   at college. Sources said he had made a video call to a friend narrating his worries, just before ending his life.

It has been reliably gathered that a teacher had offended him during the parent teachers meet over an incident that took place on College Day leading to his suspension. Charan, it is said was also unhappy as he was not provided laptop under a government  scheme.

Brahmavar Police are investigating the case.
