
Mangalore, August 26, 2013: A booklet titled ‘Nooru Dina Nooru Nirnaya’ highlighting the achievements of the Congress led state government during its first hundred days in office, was released by DK District in-charge Minister and State Minister for Forest and Ecology Ramanatha Rai at a function held at the DC office here on August 26, Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, Rai said the Congress government has taken measures to fulfill 60 out of the 160 assurances it had given to the people in its election manifesto. He also stated that the people have voted the Congress for a change and that the Government would live upto the expectations of the people.
Rai said the government has made sincere efforts to provide grants to the formulated schemes and added it was committed to implement them in a full-fledged manner by the end of the financial year.
The booklet throws light on the various projects and schemes taken up by the Congress Government and the targeted beneficiaries in the state. It speaks about the Anna Bhagya Scheme, Ksheera Bhagya Scheme, Krishi Bhagya Scheme, Vasathi Bhagya Scheme, Belakina Bhagya Scheme, Shikshana Bhagya Scheme, Social Security and Pension Scheme etc.
Several officials including Deputy Commissioner N Prakash, Additional Deputy Commissioner KA Dayananda, MCC Commissioner S Ajithkumar Hegde and others were present on the occasion.
