Body of newborn found near forest office in Madikeri

Madikeri, Nov 13, 2025: The decomposed body of a newborn baby was found near the forest office in Madikeri on Thursday.

According to preliminary investigations, the infant was about two weeks old and is suspected to have died around three days ago. The body was found in a highly decomposed condition.

Madikeri Town Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation. Officials from the Town Police Station, Child Welfare Department, and District Child Protection Unit visited the site and carried out an inspection.
