Boat tragedy ; fisherfolk mourn demise of fellowmen by suspending fish sale

Mangaluru, Dec 02, 2020:     The fishing community of Mangaluru   suspended all  fishing and fish business related activities on December 2, Wednesday  to mourn the demise of four fellow fishermen who  met a tragic end in the Shree Raksha purse-seine boat capsize.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The fish market near State Bank as well as the fish markets at Bejai, Urwa and Alake did not function today.

 A total of six fishermen had gone missing after the tragedy. The bodies of two of them were retrieved on Tuesday while two more bodies were traced on Wednesday.
