Blast at Attavar due to unexpected rain

Mangalore, Mar 24, 2012: The city witnessed light rainfall on the evening of March 23 Friday. 

At around the same time, coconut palms scraped against an electric wire near a building called Heritage near Attavar, leading to a huge blast.

The fire fighting personnel rushed to the spot and so did the Pandeshwar police.
