Black panther makes guest appearance in house at Kokkarne

Udupi, Sep 12, 2013 : A black panther, very rare to be seen in the recent times made a guest appearance  in  a room  behind the house of Kamala Shedti at Kadoor near Kokkarne in Brahmavar on September 11, Wednesday.

 

 

 

 

 

It is learnt that the panther had entered a room in the house in its bid to chase a puppy  which however managed to not only escape the clutches of the panther but was also successful in injuring it. Meanwhile, one Sheena Marakala who was sleeping in the house woke up on hearing the sound and soon locked the room where the panther was seen.

The neighbours and forest officials  were informed and the animal was  trapped in a cage with great difficulty. It was later released in the Kudremukh National Forest.

Hundreds of people rushed to the place on gathering information and enjoyed watching the black panther which was inside the cage.
