Bitcoin scam: Ramanatha Rai demands high level probe by sitting judge

Mangaluru, Nov 20, 2021: Senior Congress Leader and former minister B Ramanatha Rai has demanded an investigation by a sitting judge into the Bitcoin scam that has rocked the state.

 

 

 

Speaking to reporters at the Congress  Office on November 20, Saturday,  Rai said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai by  stating that even Congressmen were involved in the scam, has admitted that  there was indeed a scam. Rai said whoever may be involved, truth must come out through a high level probe.

CM Bommai stating that the Prime Minister has asked him to ignore the issue, is just an attempt to evade the matter, Rai  said adding there were several influential people in this racket.

To a query on MLC polls, Rai said  it was his wish that active workers get a chance and added that  any candidate chosen by the party would be fully supported.

Party leaders Prakash Salian, Harinath, Youth Congress President Luqman Bantwal, Sadashiva Shetty and others were present.
