Bishop Rev. Aloysius Paul D’Souza urges CM to extent more facilities to minorities

Bangalore, Feb 20, 2014: Rev. Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, Bishop of Mangalore Diocese  has urged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to extend more benefits and facilities to the minorities through the State Minority Commission.


bishopThe Bishop who met the Chief Minister in the capital on February 19, Wednesday discussed various issues pertaining to the welfare of minorities in Mangalore Diocese.


He also sought  educational aid to children from economically weak families and grants for the construction of a shrine at Bajpe  in commemoration of the visit of Pope John Paul II to the place.

On this occasion, the Bishop also felicitated the Chief Minister. State Forest Minister and DK District in-charge Minister B Ramanatha Rai, JR Lobo, MLA of Mangalore South,  Fr Leo D’Souza,  Walter Monteiro, Fr William and others were present.
