Biruver Kudla wants CBI investigation into Kavya death case

Mangaluru, July 29, 2017 :  Biruver Kudla Ballalbagh has demanded a CBI probe into the suspicious death of Alva’s student Kavya who was a national level badminton player.

Speaking to reporters here on July 29, Saturday, Sanketh Poojary of Biruver Kudla said the alleged suicide of Kavya has aroused a lot of suspicion and demanded that the Alva’s Education Foundation issue a clarification regarding the incident.

On the allegation  that Kavya was depressed, Sanketh said Kavya was happy when she spoke to her mother the previous day and had also informed the latter that she has been asked by the physical director to report for practice at 4.30 am. "Where did Kavya find a saree to  hang herself?  Though Moodbidri police have said low marks in Hindi forced her to end life,  Kavya was a bold girl who would not have ended her life for such a reason," said Sanketh.

He demanded that the institution release the CCTV footage   so that the  doubts would be cleared.

Sahana Poojary, a member of Biruver Kudla said  "We are not blaming Alva’s  institution Chairman Dr Mohan Alva, but want the Alva’s administration to co-operate in the  investigation."

Biruver Kudla members informed that they will be submitting a memorandum to the Police Commissioner seeking a CBI probe into  the incident.

Members of the organisation  Vijesh, Sharath, Pranesh Bangera, Vidya and others were present.
